In the hearings conducted by the Senate Select Committee investigating the January 6th attack on the United States Capitol, significant revelations have been made. We learn that former President Trump and his allies and supporters went to extreme lengths to subvert results of the 2020 election. This was all done “in plain sight,” and work of the January 6th Select Committee is illustrating that wrongdoing.

The testimony of highly respected jurist J. Michael Luttig was riveting. The conservative judge is respected by both Republicans and Democrats; former president George Bush had nominated him for the Supreme Court. Luttig talked about the fraught state of American democracy and the war that rages internally. He said “Donald Trump and his allies and supporters are a clear and present danger to American democracy.” He also talked about the blueprint the Republicans have made with their actions in the 2020 election.

Luttig thinks this blueprint will likely be followed in the 2024 election.

Donald Trump, is the de facto head of the Republican party. There are many elected Republicans in Congress who continue to be Trump followers and believe in The Big Steal. Their oath to obey the Constitution was meaningless.

There was no big steal of the 2020 election. Joe Biden won both the popular vote and electoral college vote. American voters wake up! To preserve our democracy any elected official who continues to believe in The Big Steal must be removed from office.
