Vice President MUTALE NALUMANGO has challenged citizens to report to law enforcement agencies ministers involved any suspected corruption malpractices.

She says there will be no sacred cows in the fight against corruption and that Government will NOT allow corrupt practices to prevail while it is in office.

Mrs. NALUMANGO says this is because corruption is a hindrance to the country’s development.

Mrs. NALUMANGO says Government will continue to uphold transparency and accountability in its administration.

The Vice President said this in Parliament today during the Vice President’s Question Time in response to a question by Leader of Opposition in the House BRIAN MUNDUBILE.

Mr. MUNDUBILE asked why President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has remained silent over the cancellation of an alleged contract involving 100 million United States Dollars involving the construction of health facilities in Southern, Western and North Western Provinces.

And Mrs. NALUMANGO said President HICHILEMA’s foreign trips should NOT be politicized.

She said the Head of State’s international engagements have resulted in several benefits and have boosted confidence from the international community.

Mrs. NALUMANGO also said it is normal for prices of goods and services to increase but that they are doing so at a slow rate.

She said Government is doing everything possible to cushion the impact of this as evidenced by the appreciation of the Kwacha and increase in the country’s import cover.

Mrs. NALUMANGO says Government is also creating employment for its citizens and that it will fulfill all its campaign promises.

Meanwhile, the Vice President said government will adhere to provisions of the law in the construction of the Lusaka – Ndola dual carriage way.
